Meet the therapists

Little Chatter Speech & Language Therapists are nationally certified and state licensed to evaluate and treat clients in New York State.  Our therapists specialize in a variety of speech and language areas including: articulation/phonology, autism spectrum disorder, apraxia, pragmatic language, auditory processing, executive functioning and many other communicative disorders and academic deficiencies.

Katie Casey, M.A., Lic. CCC-SLP/TSLD

 

Katie is a co-founder and owner of Little Chatter Speech & Language Therapy. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from The State University of New York at Geneseo in Communicative Disorders and Sciences. She also earned her Master’s degree from SUNY Geneseo in Speech-Language Pathology. Katie is licensed by the New York State board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists and is Certified for Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).  Katie has experience in the areas of articulation/phonology, autism spectrum disorder,  fluency and language. Katie has worked with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Apraxia, Down Syndrome and developmental delays.  She has experience evaluating and treating children within a variety of settings including day cares, preschools and client homes. Katie is passionate about involving families in therapy and treating children in their natural environment.  Katie enjoys golfing with her husband, John.

Kristin Housel, M.S., Lic. CCC-SLP

 

Kristin is a co-founder and owner of Little Chatter Speech & Language Therapy.  She earned her Bachelor's degree from The state University of New York at Fredonia in Communication Science and Disorders.  She earned her Master's degree from Nazareth College of Rochester in Speech-Language Pathology.  Kristin is licensed by the New York State board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists and is Certified for Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).  Kristin has experience in the areas of pragmatic language, executive functioning, auditory processing and developmental language delays. Kristin is proficient in "Preventing Academic Failure," an Orton-Gillingham-based reading program, as well as "Teaching Basic Writing Skills," an expository writing program.  She has experience working with children in early intervention, as well as in the classroom setting.  Kristin loves spending time with her two daughters.
